Why learn it?
The Alexander Technique is a practical and powerful method of self-help. How we use our bodies affects how we function and how we feel. It is taught one-to-one since we are all unique. The teacher helps you to recognise unhelpful habits which prevent good use of yourself. You can learn to stop what you don't want or need and choose something new,
in order to function better: physically, mentally and emotionally.

You learn what not to do and how to prevent it, often by doing less. It is a skill which requires practise and your active participation in observing and changing the way you think and respond to your body and life. Discovered over 100 years ago, it is the original mind, body and spirit work: mindfulness in action.
